About Chesapeake Rugby
Established in 1974, Chesapeake Women's Rugby, CWRFC, is the nation's oldest continuously operating women's rugby club. CWRFC is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union. We travel within the mid-Atlantic region for matches and tournaments. We have both a Fall and Spring 15's season and a summer 7's season. Practices are held twice weekly in Baltimore City with matches generally on Saturdays.
Our team consists of a wide range of experience levels, to include rookies brand new to the sport up to 12 year veterans. Our head coach is Ms. Jessica Hammond, former US Eagle who has competed at the international level throughout her rugby career. We are always looking for new talent and everyone is welcome!!!!
